2018 – A Year in Review

2018 was a pretty amazing year for Saskatoon Search and Rescue! A record number of activations, launching Project Lifesaver Saskatoon, introducing our Province’s first civilian search dog, finding an indoor home for our trailers and equipment, graduating 18 new searchers . . . these are just a few of the highlights you’ll find in our year in review. 2015 – A Year in Review

2015 was another very busy year for Saskatoon Search and Rescue. Here’s our year in review! Activations The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) and RCMP requested our assistance for both urban and rural searches for missing persons. Missing Person Activations:  7 Standby Requests (Missing Persons):  3 These were missing person cases that involved those who are most vulnerable – very young children and persons, both young and elderly, with mental and/or physical health concerns. “Can You Hear Me Now?”

MEDIA RELEASE “Can you hear me?” “Can you hear me now?” “Yes, we can hear you!” Saskatoon Search and Rescue (SSAR) is pleased to announce the completion of our Emergency Communications Project. A reliable communications system is essential during times of crisis or disaster and this project will help SSAR to better serve our community when needed.
