Search and Rescue Truck Project Completed
Saskatoon Search and Rescue (SSAR) is very excited to announce the completion of the SSAR Truck Project. “Having a dedicated search and rescue vehicle means that we can better serve the community and our agencies of jurisdiction when a person goes missing,” says SSAR President, Jonathan Dean. “From improved response times, expanding capabilities, to contributing to the safety of our members and all involved in an activation, the SSAR truck is an important addition to our resources.”
The media are invited to join us on Tuesday, July 28 at 1:30 pm at Rotary Park, 200 block Sask Cr. E. for a “tour” of the new truck, to see its unique search and rescue related features and storage capabilities.
This Project would not have been possible without the support of four major sponsors (Axon Development Corporation, Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation, Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, Merlin Ford Lincoln) and the contributions of many other businesses, organizations, and individuals.
Because of COVID restrictions, the maximum number of people allowed at the media conference will be 30. We ask that individuals do their own pre-screening for COVID prior to attendance. https://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/health-care-administration-and-provider-resources/treatment-procedures-and-guidelines/emerging-public-health-issues/2019-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-self-assessment
We will have hand sanitizer and masks available for use and ask that all in attendance adhere to physical distancing requirements.
